So the Wife, euphemistically and anonymously The Chick, has made Director of the center where She works. She's been interim director for months now, but She's always displayed leadership qualities wherever She goes and does. so this is high time and well earned. There will be some obvious physical benefits to it, She won't have to put her joints and back in jeopardy handling little kids all day long, a struggle for the stoutest of us. This will be a real help as She suffers from some arthritis plus lower back issues, somewhat middle age, and somewhat inherited, and some because of a fall 12 years ago. Anyway besides all that, She can grow the center to how She has been envisioning things for quite a while. She's only been there two years and already gone through two promotions, so yes, I could not be more proud, and will consider it an honor to stand in support of Her efforts. The intervention childcare field, especially with teenage mothers, is very difficult and demands lots from Her, and it's a privilege to support Her efforts. But today I'm just plain old good and proud of what She's done to get where She is now.
Wow! This is great news. She's worked hard, and now it's paying off.

Congratulations to your wife, it is always a good day when one can achieve their goals and
strive to lead in the way she is doing. Also, kudos for you as well in supporting her dream
and standing beside her. Your relationship appears to be a great example for others to
follow of uplifting each other and putting each other first despite the differences you may
have. I only wish I had the same situation in my life, this is what I wish for, but good for
you and her. Congrats again.
